Detailed Itinerary
  Day 1: Siem Reap Arrival:
Upon arrival you will be collected from the airport for a transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day you can relax and get your bearings around the hotel and the city centre.
  Day 2: Angkor Wat (B, L, D):
Wake up early morning for the sunrise and return to the hotel for breakfast – then we start our tour of the Angkor area by spending a full day exploring the wondrous ancient ruins starting with the South Gate of Angkor Thom - famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone. We continue on to the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple - Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of over 200 hectares. We stroll around this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with Columns, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple.

Tonight you will have dinner with a traditional Apsara Show at a local restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 3: Tour of the Angkor Complex (B, L, D):
After breakfast at the hotel we make our way to Ta Prohm – a magnificent Temple now overwhelmed by enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers embracing themselves into the stone foundations of the structure. We explore this masterpiece as well as some of the surrounding temples including Banteay Kdei, Sra Srong, Ta Keo, Thommanon and Chau Say Tevado. The grand circuit with Preah Khan, Kravan, Neak Pean, Krol Ko, Ta Som, East Mebon are also visited this afternoon before we stop to view the sunset at Preah Rup Temples.

Overnight in Siem Reap.
  Day 4: Tonle Sap Lake (B, L, D):
In the morning we drive to Choueng Kneas village, where you will take the boat to visit the way of life of Cambodian poor people along with a look at their schools, restaurants, hospitals and much more floating on the great lake of Tonle sap. On the way back, we will visit one of the orphanage centers.

In the afternoon, heading out of town we make our way to the intricately carved and well preserved temple of Banteay Srei. Along the way we stopover at the Preah Dark village and we follow this with a visit the Banteay Samre Temple - adorned with impressive relief’s depicting scenes of Vishunu as well as Krishna legends. Later this afternoon, you will enjoy oxcart ride to cruise around the outskirt of Banteay Srei to explore the daily life of rural Cambodian people.

Overnight is spent in a local home-stay.
Day 5: Exploring the Cambodian Countryside (B, L):
Today we start by driving to the remote Beng Mealea temple; through the typical Khmer countryside. There is a lot to see in the 2 hour drive as it takes you through many lively villages and along many kilometers of rice paddies. Explore the long abandoned temple (11th century) strangled by the jungle. A further 1 hr drive brings you to Koh Ker, situated in the northeast of Siem Reap. Discover the long abandoned temples in the forests of northern Cambodia. There are more than 30 major structures here and experts believe there may have been as many as 100 minor sacred buildings in the region. It was a prolific period for gigantic sculpture and several of the most impressive pieces in the National Museum in Phnom Penh come from Koh Ker, including a huge garuda (half-man, half-bird creature).

Returning to Siem Reap – you have the evening to spend at your leisure.
  Day 6: Angkor National Museum (B, L):
Today’s trip is to the Angkor National Museum – which houses a huge collection of invaluable artifacts that enhance your understanding of the cultural heritage of the Golden Era of Khmer Kingdom. The visit will be lead by Mr Cham Roeurn – the Archeologist and Director of the National Museum. In the afternoon we stop at the local Psachas market which sells many interesting and unique items.
As this is your last evening in Siem Reap, you will be taken by tuk tuk for a cruise around the suburbs of the town and stop for a blessing ceremony by Buddhist monks to wish you happiness, prosperity and safety.
Day 7: Siem Reap Departure (B):
After breakfast relax until our driver collects you for a transfer to the airport.
