Detailed Itinerary
  Day 1: Hanoi arrival (DP):
Arriving at Noi Bai airport, you will be met and driven to your hotel. You will have time to relax after your journey. Your overnight stay will be in Hanoi.
  Day 2: Hanoi orientation (B, L, G):
This day you will discover many things about Vietnam’s capital city, starting with a wealth of cultural, culinary and historic wonders enclosed within the city walls. Tran Quoc Pagoda, Temple of Literature, and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum are all on the itinerary for the morning, as is the famous One Pillar Pagoda, the popular symbol of the city.

After lunch we will visit the Museum of Ethnology, which hosts a variety of cultural items from Vietnam’s numerous ethnic minorities. Everything from clothing, instruments, farming tools to scaled down models of their living quarters.

Take a cyclo ride, the transport that was prevalent before the introduction of the motorbike. After a pleasant ride around the old quarter, collect your tickets to attend a traditional Water Puppet Show, a light hearted introduction to Vietnam’s rural culture. Later go for a walk around the maze of streets the comprise Hanoi’s old quarter and get a taste of the vibrant nightlife. Overnight is spent in Hanoi.
  Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Cruise onboard Paradise Luxury (B, L, D):
Your heavenly journey into the wonders of Halong Bay commences at noon from Tuan Chau Island located at the doorstep of Vietnam's most iconic natural environment. During the afternoon discover some of the treasures disseminated across the bay like scattered pearls; fascinating caves, pristine beaches, picturesque floating villages, and fantastic rock formations rising up out of crystalline water. While onboard, you can take advantage at leisure of Spa, Beauty & Massage services at any time.

Destined to be one of the highlights of your Paradise stay, a highly refined, innovative and varied cuisine will be presented for Lunch and Dinner in the elegant dining-room.
  Day 4: Paradise Luxury – Cat Ba – Dark & Light Cave (B, L, D):
As sunrise breaks through a grey dawn and the islets emerge from the inky shadows of nightfall, a Tai Chi demonstration is held on deck. Enjoy a buffet breakfast on the main vessel before being transferred to the smaller and therefore swifter Paradise Explorer, which will act as your day boat and take you to some of the more secluded areas of the bay.

Your first stop is Cat Ba island, where you will be dropped at Viet Hai jetty for your choice of cycling or driving a motorbike through the jungle to reach the rustic village nestled amongst the trees. Wander around the fields and houses, and hike in the forest and into the dark green heart of Cat Ba National Park.

Back on Paradise Explorer, lunch will be served as the boat once again sets sail into the bay. Along the way; stop at Dark Cave area for kayaking, swimming or merely relaxing and soaking up the tranquil ambience.

A sumptuous dinner is served onboard followed by movie night, board games or just lying back with a fine wine and appreciating the mysterious beauty of the nightscape.
Day 5: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Night Train to Hue (B, L):
Early birds can attend a Tai Chi demonstration on the sundeck at the break of dawn, where as night owls may elect to instead start the day with a strong coffee before enjoying some special Paradise delights at a colourful buffet breakfast. Continue sailing past the thousands of islets scattered like roughly hewn gemstones in the clear green water. Your Paradise Cruise will come to an end on Tuan Chau Island between 10.30am and 11.00am, after which you will be collected for transfer back to Hanoi. Dinner is your choice before heading to the train station for your overnight train to Hue.
  Day 6: Hue orientation (B, L, G):
Welcome to Hue! You will be picked up at the railway station then transferred to your hotel for relaxation. In the afternoon you will visit the imposing Imperial Citadel, with its high impenetrable walls of red and black brick. Wander through the grounds, along concrete walkways cutting through ponds brimming over with brightly-colored koi, through small beaten paths leading through courtyards long since overgrown with greenery, scattered with lovers’ rotundas and remnants of sandstone walls that have been beaten black by time and misadventure with the weather.

Following the Imperial Citadel, you will visit Dong Ba market, very much with its claws clenched around modern life. Women wearing the famous Vietnamese conical hat slip from stall to stall like minnows, arms born down with hard-earned bargains. The market flaunts everything from brightly-colored tropical fruit, vibrant cloth and material for tailors to silken scarves and hand-made crafts, shoes and jewelry. Regardless of whether you’re looking to buy, the market is a vibrant atmosphere that typifies Vietnamese culture.

Later on you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy traditional Vietnamese music played on the Perfume River, and then your overnight in Hue.
  Day 7: Hue – Danang – Hoi An (B, L, G):
After breakfast, you will sail along the Perfume River in a traditional wooden boat to visit Thien Mu pagoda. Ascend a short series of steep stairs to reach the pagoda tower, famous for its tiered levels providing a conduit to heaven, each level with symbolic significance. After visiting the pagoda, you will be taken to the tombs of two of most famous emperors, Emperor Minh Mang and Khai Dinh. Each tomb has unique features that reflect the venerable ruler they house.

After lunch, your transfer will arrive to take you to Danang via the legendarily beautiful Hai Van pass, a white ribbon fluttering over emerald green mountains overlooking cerulean seas. You will see the soft crescent of Lang Co beach, and the city of Danang spread like scattered child’s toys. Upon your arrival at Danang, you will visit the iconic Cham Museum, the largest collection of Cham sculpture and artwork worldwide, owing to Danang’s origins dating back to the ancient Champa kingdom. Marvel at the immaculately preserved artifacts as you wander through an exotic labyrinth of strange beasts, fearsome warriors and dancing maidens.

Arriving at Hoi An, check into your hotel and the evening is at your relaxation.
  Day 8: Hoi An – My Son sanctuary – Boat cruising (B, L, G):
In the morning you will visit My Son sanctuary, an impressive historical site exhibiting relics of the ancient Champan civilization. With lush forest surroundings, My Son served as both the trade capital and religious center for the Cham people.

On your way back to Hoi An you will stop for a boat ride along the picturesque Thu Bon river. Disembark at various handicraft and pottery villages dotted along the riverbank. Have lunch on the boat, which will eventually lead you back to Hoi An old town.
Day 9: Hoi An relaxing (B):
The day is yours to spend at your leisure.

You might like to consider the following alternatives for your day:

Visit Hoi An Old Quarter with ancient households, with touches of Japanese, Chinese and Thai styles in the building designs. Historic sites of Phuc Kien Communal House, Tan Ky ancient commercial house, the iconic Japanese Bridge (featured on the 20,000 Vietnam Dong note) and Phung Hung Ancient Trading House.

Take a bike tour or leisurely stroll along Cua Dai beach, located about 5km from the town centre.
Day 10: Hoi An – Danang – Quy Nhon (B, DP):
You are free to relax until the driver arrives to take you to the railway station for your train trip to Quy Nhon. Upon arrival you will be met by a private car to take you to your resort, located on a secluded beach.
Day 11: Quy Nhon relaxing (B):
This day is yours to spend at your leisure.

Spend time at Quy Nhon’s charming waterfronts, from which you can overlook limestone islands skirted by glittering turquoise seas. Feel the soft sand sinking beneath your soles as you tread the silken shores.. Slip into cool waters that reflect a perfect blue sky. Lie back on golden sands and soak up the tropical sun, or for those with fairer skin, enjoy the scenery from beneath the shelter of a shady tree.
Day 12: Quy Nhon – Nha Trang (B, DP):
You’ll be collected from your hotel for the ongoing journey to Nha Trang, passing through some spectacular coastal scenery whilst en route. Once at the country’s premier beach resort you will embark on an island boat cruise, where you will have the chance to relax, enjoy a seafood feast or take a dip in the sapphire waters of the East Sea.
Day 13: Nha Trang – Mud baths (B, DP):
After breakfast you will be driven to the nearby Thap Ba hot spring spa. The spa provides natural mud baths and mineral water pools to bath your skin and scourge it of any impurities. You will leave feeling invigorated and refreshed. After relaxing in the mud baths and mineral water pools, you will be driven back to your hotel. Spend the rest of your day relaxing on Nha Trang’s pristine beach, among the best Vietnam has to offer.
Day 14: Nha Trang – Saigon (B, DP):
You will be free in the morning until our driver arrives to take you to Cam Ranh Airport for your flight to Saigon. Check into your hotel and rest before setting out in the afternoon to untangle the seemingly chaotic maze of streets, to visit some historic sites, sample the nationally renown street food, and in the evening sip on an ice cold beverage from a vantage point affording a calm view of the roaring river of motorbikes flooding the streets during the city’s peak hour.
  Day 15: Saigon - Mekong Delta - Saigon (B, L, G):
Beginning the day with an early 7hr30 collection from your hotel, we drive to Tien Giang. Upon arrival you will board a vessel to allow you to explore the 4 mythical islets of the Dragon, Unicorn and Paradise located in the Mekong Delta

As the journey progresses from islet to islet, you will experience a range of unique cultural activities. Share lunch with some local people, try the local herbal tea or the infamous snake-wine, listen to traditional Vietnamese folksong and sample seasonal fruits.

The boat will travel along the xep canal, where we will make stops at the coconut candy factory, the local bee-farm and the opportunity to take a horse drawn cart along the village path to Ben Truc orchard.

Return back to Saigon in the late afternoon.

Overnight in Saigon.
Day 16: Saigon departure (B, DP):
After breakfast and arranging your belongings, relax until your car will come and pick you up to the airport for your homebound flight.

Trip note
Guests should note that this is a cultural tour; therefore there will be visits to various places of worship, which may require respectful dress and behavior. Female visitors must often wear clothes covering much of their skin – and nothing too revealing.

As this tour covers the whole country, you should take note that the north of Vietnam can be colder in the winter. Therefore, if visiting late or early in the year, you should bring a varied style of clothing, as the south has a more Tropical Climate. As some of the activities involve climbing stairs / Hiking, guests should also bring walking shoes/boots.

Hoi An is famous for its tailors – and most will make you anything you desire in under 24 hours! Be sure to have a look and see if there is anything suitable for yourself.

Attention: The itinerary may be subject to change due to the unfavorable weather conditions
