This tour has been designed to showcase the different sides there is to visit in Cambodia. We start with the beautiful city of Siem Reap – home to the Angkor Complex area – and finishing 4 days later with the sobering ‘Killing Fields’ of Cheoung Ek.

Detailed Itinerary
  Day 1: Siem Reap Arrival (D):   
Upon arrival at Siem Reap International Airport, you are met and transferred to the hotel. After a short rest we start your tour to the jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm - an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure. We also explore the grand circuit with Preah Khan, Kravan, Neak Pean, Krol Ko, Ta Som, East Mebon and Pre Rup Temples, where you will view the sunset from there.

Spend the first evening gathering your bearings around the city centre.
  Day 2: Angkor Wat and the Angkor Complex (B, L, D):   
The sightseeing tour of Angkor area we spend a full day exploring the wondrous ancient ruins with the South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone. Continue to the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple - Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of over 200 hectares. We stroll around this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with columns, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple.
  Day 3: Tonle Sap Lake:   
Today we head out of town and make our way by traveling on a newly paved road to the intricately carved and well preserved temple of Banteay Srei. En route we make stopovers at the Preah Dark village and we follow these with a visit the Banteay Samre Temple - adorned with impressive relief’s depicting scenes of Vishunu as well as Krishna legends. This afternoon, we go by Tuk Tuk to visit the floating village of Chong Khneas, located 10 kilometers south of Siem Reap. Visit the village and take an excursion in a traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap Lake, the "Great Lake" of Cambodia and one of the largest in Asia.

Transfer to the airport for a short flight to Phnom Penh.
  Day 4: The Royal Palace – Choeung Ek – Departure (B, L):   
Today we will start our visit to the Royal Palace. The Palace was opened in 1870 under King Norodom, and now contains the Royal Residence, the Throne Hall, the Silver Pagoda and many other buildings. The Silver Pagoda (Wat Preah Keo Morokat) is one of the city's most visited sites and offers a display of priceless Buddhist and historical objects. The Pagoda draws its name with more than 5,000 silver tiles which cover the floor in the temple. We will then go to Toul Sleng museum and the killing fields of Choueng Ek, which is about 35km away from the city.

Transfer out to the airport for the flight your next destination – and your 4 day Cambodian Adventure is over.

A woman of any nationality is not permitted to touch a monk of any age, or even hand something directly to a monk. However striking up a conversation with a monk is fine.
Visitors don’t need any special vaccinations to enter Cambodia, but it’s wise to ensure you are up to date with standard inoculations before you arrive.
